libofapi0 software package provides OpenFirmware device-tree parsing library, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libofapi0
libofapi0 is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libofapi0 package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libofapi0 *
You will get with libofapi0 package name, version, architecture and description in a table
